I walk my dog no matter what the weather is and in the winter my favourite type of day is cold clear and dry. This tree was infested with bugs and a pileated woodpecker has had a feast leaving these large holes for other animals to nest in high above foxes and coyotes. I love seeing the circle of life evident even when the forest is sleeping.
