Sizzling Hot
I love the days, in the middle of a hot humid summer, that have spectacular thunderstorms and just before sunset the clouds start to break up. This always leads to an incredible mix of shapes and colours. A break in the humidity and promise of sun for tomorrow.
This painting was done using a strong acrylic under painting of bright colours and then a blocking in layer to establish shapes. Finally the negative painting to give it an organic horizon and shredded clouds. The brighter colours are oils as only oil can give it the punch I wanted.
Original fine art painting on stretched gallery wrapped canvas. ready to hang. acrylic 18”x24”x1.5” 440.00 CDN.
