This large oil painting is very mysterious. A few times in my life I have arrived at a cottage that I have never been to before after dark. The next morning is a slow revelation of the landscape and the adventure that the holiday has in store. I love the feeling of the unknown being slowly revealed. That is what I am conveying in this picture. The colours are luscious and deep. It’s size fills a wall like a window onto the lake.
