Odin

This painting is the first in a series I am doing with folklore and myth as a theme. For those who don’t know me I am a proud redhead from the United Kingdom. I have English, Irish and Welsh heritage and am a proud Canadian. All this to say that I feel ownership of these cultures and the Viking past of whole of northern Euope. Lots to chose from. I am starting with Odin because I love the norse stories. In April I visited a viking grave site in Denmark and it was surrounded by a rookery of crows… very spooky.
