This is part of a series of paintings that were inspired by a trip to Newfoundland. I used a limited palette and mixed all the colours from three primaries with white and black. This allows a unity of colours and of the paintings in the series.

The geography was so interesting with various coloured rocks in different strata. The sea was turquoise, stunning.
