Ontario is covered in wet lands. Every road we drive down near my home intersects diverse habitat that homes many animals. This diversity is less nearer cities but it is still common around the edges of the Canadian shield. On cold bright winter days you can just head across the marsh and discover hundreds of footprints as proof of life teeming even in the winter.
